How to turn on and off email notifications on Canvas

Step 1. Log into the canvas account you want to change email notifications on 

Step 2. If you haven't already, verify your email address

Step 3. Click Account ? Notifications

Step 4. Under your email choose what activity notifications and the frequency of when you want notifications sent to your email under ‘Email’ 

Here are the meanings of the different frequency symbols:

Step 5. You will now adjust the symbols to the right of the course activity categories to determine the frequency you want those particular category updates emailed to you. 

Step 6. You should now receive email notifications they way you want from Canvas! 

NOTE: If the same email address is used for multiple accounts, you will need to change the settings in each account.
