Go to the Website: First, go to the Canvas Classroom website by clicking on the link or typing the address in the web browser.

Log In: Use the username and password given to you by your school to log in.


Find Your Class: You will now be in the Book Exchange and see this screen:



Viewing Announcements:

  1. Look for Announcements: Look for the heading called "Announcements" on the left hand side of the screen


  2. Read the Announcements: Click on the announcements tab to see messages from your teacher. Each announcement has a title and a message. Click on the title to read the full message.


  3. Comment or Reply: As needed reply to announcements 


Participating in Discussions:

  1. Find Discussions: On your class page, look for a heading called "Discussions" or something like that.


  2. Pick a Topic: Inside the discussions area, you'll see different topics to talk about. Click on one that is relevant to you.


  1. Read: In the topic, you'll see what fellow parents wrote. 


  2. Join the Talk: When you're ready to join in, click on the "Reply" button to write your own message.


  1. Write Your Thoughts: Type what you want to say in the box that pops up. You can say anything related to Book Exchange. 


  2. Send Your Message: Once you've finished typing, click the "Send" or "Submit" button to post your message for others to see.


  3. Talk to Other Parents: After you've posted your message, you can keep talking to your Parents by replying to their messages too.
