LOGGING IN TO YOUR MICROSOFT 365 PORTAL

 

Step 1. Open a Web Browser and navigate to https://www.microsoft365.com/ and click 'Login'.

The webpage should look like the following:

 

 

Step 2. Enter your Microsoft Username and password that you were provided by FPA Tech Support (Click ‘Sign in’)

   

 

Step 3**. If this is your first time logging in to Microsoft continue to Step 5. If you have already logged in to Microsoft please proceed to the 'Microsoft 365 Desktop Application Instructions' towards the bottom of this article.  

 

Step 4. Please Update your Password

 

Current Password = Password you were provided with in email

New Password = New password you will be used to log in with 

Confirm Password = Confirm the new password you used to login  

 

Once you have you have entered your new password and confirmed it press ‘Sign in’

 



Step 5. Set up your account recovery information by choosing one of the following two options.

Click ‘Next’ 


Option 1: Please put in your phone number as a recovery method for your account and use either the text option or the call option to confirm.


Option 2: Click ‘I want to set up a different method’ and choose the ‘Security questions’ option if you do not want to provide your phone information


 

 

Step 6. At the ‘Stay sign in?’ click whichever option makes the most sense in your circumstance ‘No’ or ‘Yes’. 

 

Step 7. You should now be on your Office 365 portal, You will have access to both the web version and the desktop version of Office. Please proceed to the 'Microsoft 365 Desktop Application Instructions'

Microsoft 365 Desktop Application Instructions

 

Step 1. Click the button that is labeled ‘Install Office’ on the right-hand side of the screen and click the option labeled ‘Microsoft 365 apps’

 


 

Step 2. An installation file should now have started to download under downloads your screen or in your downloads folder. The file should look like the following

Apple Computers

Windows Computers

 Above is the Downloads icon in the upper right hand corner of your screen.

Step 4. Click on the installation file once the download is complete 

Step 5. Click the necessary steps on the installation prompt


Step 6. Install Microsoft Office 


Put in the username and password for your computer on the ‘Installer’ prompt then click ‘Install Software’ 


Step 7. Look at chart below


Apple Installation CompleteMicrosoft Installation Complete


Click Close
Click 'Move to Trash'

You should now see your new applications on your Microsoft machine (Location of applications will vary by Windows 10 or 11


You should now see your applications installed on your mac under Finder>Applications

If you have a lot of applications, keep scrolling down on your finder until you find them.

 



You should now see your Microsoft applications by searching them in your search menu


Pin the Microsoft Applications to your taskbar and/or desktop as needed
