Please contact your FPA academic advisor if your student needs help with cursive writing. Your academic advisor would reach out to you after receiving the FPA application if you stated that your student is not proficient in cursive writing. If your student needs help to learn cursive writing, tutorials and practice sheets can be provided to you from FPA so you can work with your child on developing their cursive writing skills. You may be asked to sign a Cursive Writing Waiver on or before the first day of school. Your student will then be exempt from cursive writing until the start of the second quarter. At the start of the second quarter, 50% of each handwritten assignment is to be completed in cursive. Beginning in the second semester, all handwritten assignments will be expected to be written entirely in cursive.
