There are several ways to submit audio / video recordings for Macs

Audio Assignments:

Mac

Method 1: Canvas Media Recording

Step 1. In your Canvas course please find the assignment you need to do the audio recording for. (You find it under 'Assignments' or 'Modules')

Step 2. Click the button labeled 'Record Media'

Step 5. If you get prompted by a pop up to allow 'fpeusa.instructure.com' to use your camera and microphone select 'Allow'

Step 6. On the 'Record Media' Capture Box make sure your video is not showing by clicking the 'Webcam' option and choosing 'Webcam Disabled'

Step 7. Click 'Start Recording' to record your audio

Step 8. Once you are done with your recording you can relisting to your recording by clicking the play button

Step 9. One you are satisfied with your audio recording click 'Finish' and 'Save Media' (Remember to change Title to something identifiable)

Step 10. Click 'Submit Assignment'

Step 11. You have now submitted your audio recording!

Method 2: QuickTime Player

Step 1. Go to Finder

Step 2. On the left hand side of the Finder menu click 'Applications'

Step 3. Find the Application named QuickTime Player and click in to it

Step 4. Once you click on the application twice look in the upper left hand side of your screen for the name 'QuickTime Player' 

Step 5. To the right of 'QuickTime Player' click 'File' then 'New Audio Recording' 

Step 6. Click the red recording button to start recording

Step 7. Replay the recording to listen to it as needed. 

Step 8. Once your recording is ready click File>Save... to the location you need to Remember to name the file something identifiable.

Step 9. Find the assignment needed to be submitted in Canvas

Step 10. On the menu select 'Upload Media'

Step 11. Drag the file on to the box or click inside the box to browse your comptuter for the file 

Step 12. Find the audio file on your computer and double click it

Step 13. Once your file is on the screen select 'Submit'

Step 14. You have now submitted your audio recording!
