If you would like to experiment with your course, but don’t want to run the risk of making detrimental changes. You can backup your course first.
Step 1. Click Settings⇒ Export Course Content
Step 2. Make sure Course is chosen, and click Create Export
Step 3. After the backup is complete, click on the link that appeared under the Content Exports heading. That will download the file to your default location.
Restoring Courses
If you ever need to restore a course, follow these steps.
Click Settings ⇒ Import Course Content
From the Content Type selection box, choose “Canvas Course Export Package.”
“Choose File” by navigating to your default download folder, select All content, and Import.
